Excluded Events

What are Excluded Events?

Excluded Events provides advanced functionality that allows you to exclude events from being created during rules calculations and save your preference as a default.

DocketCalendar will provide a deadline for every court rule, including deadlines for every type of matter before the court. Your firm may not need or want all these deadlines on your calendar.  Excluding those deadlines will speed up the review process during rules calculations.

How to use Excluded Events...

Creating a case
Step
Navigate to the Excluded Events page and click the orange “Edit Excluded Events” button.

Step
Check the boxes next to the events that you want to exclude.

Checking the box will automatically uncheck the event at calculation. You can still add that event back during calculation if you choose.

In this example, we are excluding the 'Mail Outside U.S.' deadlines.

Step
Choose to apply to “selected jurisdiction” or “apply to all jurisdictions.”

Apply to all jurisdictions will only apply to similar jurisdictions (Other CA Superior Courts).
Click the “Save Excluded Events” button.

To edit events you have already excluded, repeat the steps listed above. To undo excluded events, simply uncheck the box next to those you no longer want to exclude.
